Born in the US as a monocultural, Amy took an adventure to The Netherlands for a few months to work at a hostel and fell in love with the international community. She then moved her life to Venezuela to work as a teacher where she made a home, learned a culture and a language and began to raise her two TCK children. Living in Venezuela (for 10 years followed by a move to Malaysia going on 7 years) and working in an international school with Third Culture Kids (TCKs) and Cross-Cultural Kids (CCKs) have deeply shaped her perspective on transition, identity, and empathy.

Experiencing cultural shifts firsthand and witnessing the unique challenges TCKs, their parents & their teachers face has given her an authentic understanding of their struggles and strengths. These experiences allow Amy to bring real-world insight, relatability, and practical strategies to her work, helping others navigate the complexities of change and belonging with greater awareness and resilience.

Finding My Voice
I believed firmly that the world didn’t need my voice, another person saying things that you already know. My voice didn’t matter.
